Founder and Executive Director
Dr. Arome Salifu has B.Sc. Economics, MA Leading Innovation and Change (MALIC) from the prestigious St. John University , York, York-shire, United
Kingdom and Robert Kennedy College, Zurich, Switzerland. The Africa Youth Growth Foundation, was founded in April 2003 to promote Youths and Community development through good, governance and democratic participation across Africa. He got the NGO incorporated in 2006. He worked with several local and international organizations on Democracy and Human Right Matters across Africa including Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Spanish Fund for Migration, among others.Dr . Arome Salifu is currently the Chairman of the National Mirror Committee on Good Financial Grant Practice (an international instrument to ensure standards in the application of all financial grants into the country) which the Headquarters / Secretariat is at the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON). He is a board member of many respected Blue ship companies and Civil Society organizations including the respected Transition Monitoring Group (TMG). TMG is the umbrella organization for all Civil Society organizations into democratic development and good governance advocacies in Nigeria with over 400 membership base. Dr. Arome Salifu has widely travelled round the world; yet has a strong grass-roots connection with vibrant community presence.
Dr . Arome Salifu has received several local and international awards including an honorary doctorate degree in Humanities by the Commonwealth University , Balize in conjunction with London Business School in the year 2013 in recognition of his out standing contributions towards the development of Democracy , Human Rights, and Social Justice
He was presented with the Leadership Excellent Award by the American – Africa Center for Human Resources and Economic Inc. Texas, United State of America in the year 2014. This year 2018, he was also presented with ICON OF THE YOUTH AWARD by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (the apex Youth body in Nigeria).

Prof Nana Tanko
Prof Nana Tanko holds a Doctorate Degree in Development Studies with a specialisation in Population and Gender Studies from the School of Development Studies in the University of East Anglia. She also holds a Master’s of Science degree in Demography from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London and an Honours Degree in Sociology from the Ahmadu Bello University Nigeria. She has ten (10) years’ experience in the development sector. She was the Executive Director of OSIWA West Africa, Dakar Senegal. She is currently the Programme Director at Victims Support Fund (VSF). She is the co–founder, deputy director and head of research and training of the African Policy Research Institute (APRI), an independent Think Tank on development policies in Africa based in Abuja, Nigeria. She began her career with extensive work in higher education as an academic, teacher, researcher and administrator, before she moved into leadership and managerial positions in international development organizations. She was the Dean of the College of Law, Management and Social Sciences at the University of Abuja, and her research focus covers a range of issues particularly Reproductive Health, Gender, Population and African development, Small Scale Industrial development in Nigeria.
Prof. Dakas C. J. Dakas (SAN)
Prof. Dakas C. J. Dakas (SAN) He was the Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Jos, Plateau State. He studied at the University of Jos for his LLB and graduated with a First Class honour in law earning for himself the Prize for the Best Student in Law in 1990. He also obtained his LLM from both University of Jos and the New York University and his Ph.D from the University of Jos. Professor. Dakas was conferred with the prestigious professional rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), September, 2012.
He rose from lecturing at the Faculty of Law, University of Jos, to the rank of Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence in October, 2010. He is a visiting Professor (International Human Rights Law), Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada where he has taught “Human Rights in Africa” through a virtual classroom which involves interface via video conferencing between Canadian and Nigerian students and faculty.
Dr. Otive Igbuzor
Prof. Dakas C. J. Dakas (SAN) PhD (Policy Analysis), M.Sc. (Int. Relations), M.P.A. (Pub.Admin.), B. Pharm. (Hons.) is the Executive Director of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) (See www.centrelsd.org). He was one-time International Head of campaigns of ActionAid International and Country Director of ActionAid Nigeria. He was also an honourable Commissioner in the Police Service Commission (PSC) from 2008-2013 representing civil society. (See www.psc.gov.ng). Prior to joining ActionAid, he was a Programme Co-ordinator of Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), an independent research, information and training institution dedicated to policy-oriented scholarship on questions of democratic development and peace building in the West African sub-region. He also served as the Secretary of Citizens’ Forum for Constitutional Reform (CFCR), a coalition of over one hundred civil society organizations committed to a process led and participatory approach to constitutional reform in Nigeria (See www.cddwestafrica.org). He is the immediate Past President of Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN) (www.ismn.com)and President of The Ejiro&OtiveIgbuzor Foundation (www.igbuzorfoundation.org). Over the years, he has accumulated experience in leadership, management, board governance, environmental justice, advocacy and campaigns. In recognition of his leadership roles, he was appointed by the Secretary General of United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki Moon in October, 2012 into the Global Network of Men Leaders to end Violence Against Women (www.un.org). He is an active and committed member of the Board of Trustees of Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF).
Prof Sam Gabril Egwu
Prof Sam Gabril Egwu is currently the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner for Niger State. He represented Kogi State in National Confab of 2014. He received a bachelor degree at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in political science in 1984, had his M.Sc. programme in Political Economy and Development Studies at the University of Jos in 1985, before embarking on a PhD programme in the same university in 1989. For twenty years (between 1986 and 2005) Professor Egwu served the University of Jos in the Department of Political Science. During which he made important marks not only in academic achievements but also in administration and community service. He published and co-edited seven books, five monographs, eight journal articles and 39 book chapters, in addition to a wide gamut of conference and seminar papers presented in Nigeria, Ghana, United Kingdom and Switzerland. He served for five years as Team Leader for the Governance and Peace-Building Team of the UNDP in Abuja. Professor Egwu’s other achievements have included the West African Research Fellowship (WARA), Programme of African Studies, Northwestern University, Illinois, Chicago, USA (1995); Research Fellow, Centre for Advance Social Science, Port Harcourt (1996) and Guest Researcher, The Nordic Africa Institute, Uppsala, SWEDEN (1997).
Hon. Moses Ado Okino
Hon. Moses Ado Okino holds a Bsc. In Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru, Zaria in 1977. He has so many professional qualifications by prestigious institutions, some of which includes Certificate in Development Banking by Africa Development in 1989, Certificate in small scale industries Management of ANDFI, he also belongs to many professional bodies such as Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Nigerian Economic Society (NES) Nigerian Statistics Association (NSA) etc. He has lectured at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, worked as an Economist at the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank Limited (NIDB) from 1981-1985 which involved writing seminar workshop and lecture papers for managing Directors and key management staff of the Bank including rehabilitation plan activities for sick projects. In 1985-1988 he was head of project promotion and Development Unit at NIDB, North West Area Administration, Kaduna State, etc.
He has travelled round the world; some of the countries include United Kingdom, Germany, Nertherlands, Israel, Egypt, Ghana, India, Bulgaria, Republic of Benin Zambia, Kenya, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, USA,UAE and Brazil.
Mrs Victoria Omachi
Mrs Victoria Omachi She obtained a BSc degree in International Nursing from the Angelia Ruskin University, UK. A dedicated health professional with extensive work experience in multi-disciplinary terms home and Abroad. She currently works in the ICU unit at the National Hospital Abuja as Senior Nursing Officer. Some of her key achievements involves setting up of an intensive care unit in the Federal Medical Centre, Gombe State, Nigeria after her training as an Intensive Care Nurse. where she has also worked as senior Nursing Officer. She has experience as a registered staff Nurse at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital 1988-2000. She gives Part of her time to community development through volunteering caring for the less privilege in the society and during outreach in rural settlements, she has also worked with widows and the disabled where social services are not provided by the Government.

Dr. Samuel Ifeanyi Chukwu Amadi SJD (Ph.D.) Law (focusing on Administrative Law, Human Rights, Political Philosophy Jurisprudence,and Legal Theory). 2004, Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Massachusetts. M.P.A., concentrating on policies of Economic Development, Social Institution and Leadership, 2003, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard, Cambridge, Massachusetts LL.M., focusing on Human Rights, Jurisprudence, Alternative Dispute Resolution, International Law, International Environmental Law, International Trade and Administrative Law, 2001, Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Massachusetts B.L.1993, Nigeria Law School, Nigeria. LL.B.1992, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He Studied Public administration at John F. Kennedy University and also Studied Law at Harvard University. Worked at Network on Police Reform in Nigeria.
He is the Former Executive Chairman and CEO of Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). He is the Head of Department of Public Law, Baze University, Abuja.
